| I have been using this fiber product for six years, as originally recommended by the medical staff at John Bastyr. I developed gut issues at the same time I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes. I was prescribed Metformin HCL, which did wonders for my numbers, but also aggravated my gut issue problem, where problems occurred in the middle of the night. With a change in diet (no milk or cheese) and taking the fiber twice a day, it has helped me control my issues with the colon. I used to be able to obtain Heather's Tummy Fiber at Vitamin Life in Downtown Redmond, but they closed the retail store and switched to purely online sales. | I wish there was some sort of customer support where I could ask specific questions and have them answered. I have IBS-C and take large amounts of Magnesium (Calm) daily (twice a day) in order to be able to have bowel movements. I'm trying to wean myself off of Calm while at the same time increase my use of the tummy fiber. I'm struggling to do this successfully and would love to get support on it. I don't know if the tummy fiber can work well for me. I used it successfully in the past, but my IBS has gotten a lot worse since then. I haven't had a normal bowel movement in many years now. I'm hoping the tummy fiber can change that, but even though I gradually increased the amount, I got increased bloating and gas, so I had to back off again. I know I need more than what I'm taking (2 tsp. twice a day), but even with increasing it slowly while decreasing the magnesium, I've had a hard time of it. I'm going to keep trying, though, and will hopefully have success with the product (if I do, I will either change my review or write a new one). I have two more containers of the tummy fiber, which should be enough for me to see if it will work for me or not. | |||||

| I began using this fiber in an attempt to alleviate the worst IBS flare I have ever had. It is proving to be very effective for me. I am using it in conjunction with the fennel tea and am experiencing improvement. I think it will take a while to experience the full benefits of daily use but I plan on continuing with the product, as the improvement is worth it. | This acacia fiber is just as Heather has described--it has been very helpful for my gut. I've gradually increased my dose as she recommends, and I think I've finally gotten to the amount I need. I have mixed the Tummy Fiber with water on a 1 tsp. to 1 tablespoon water ratio so that I always have about one cup of liquified Tummy Fiber ready in a jar in the frig. This makes it super-convenient to put a tablespoon of the liquid (equivalent to about 2 grams fiber) into drinks or soup. Yes--I am very pleased with Heather's Tummy Fiber, and I will order it again on a regular basis. | |

| I had high hopes for this product Tummy Fiber Acacia but it gave me a lot of gas. I cut down to 1/4 tsp and then 1/8 tsp and same results. I have stopped taking it and will try again with less than an 1/8 tsp in hopes it will not give me so much gas. It might take me longer to get to were I want to be but I will give it one last try. I am glad to see that a lot of people do not have the same problem that I have had. Any ideas as to how I can take this without getting so much gas let me know. Thanks | |
