| I am so grateful for this product and the book The First Year. Because I live alone I stopped making salads and cooking vegetables not realizing that V-8 juice was not the same. I thought I could no longer eat raw fruits and vegetables and this made my diarrhea worse. I have also had a colon resection due to colon cancer. I never knew there were two kinds of fiber and that soluble fiber was essential for me and neither did my doctors. I also followed the directions on the label and gradualy added both types of fiber to my diet. I like not having a gritty taste to the powder also. | |

| My mom has been in and out of the hospital with IBS type symptoms (ing nurse mentioned your product and how it had been helping her elderly mother, we ordered it right away. The results have been fantastic. She has occasional diarrhea but only because she eats too much chocolate and NOTHING like the problems before. We also started her on the Peppermint Oil capsules. She used to complained of pain in her stomach and we could not figure out why it hurt.. SInce she has been taking the capsules she no longer complains. She doesn't like peppermint in tea and such but no problem with the peppermint oil capsules. I recommend it to anyone I hear of having these types of problems. | I started taking these over 3 years ago to help relieve IBS symptoms before meals. I use them as directed and as needed and they have been effective at relieving gas and associated discomfort when my stomach is empty. I also use Acacia Senegal Tummy Fibre before all meals to help prevent symptoms. Earlier this year my symptoms got worse and I'm working with a Nurse Practitioner to improve my digestive process. I told her about the above items and she was pleased to get the information. In the last few months, I've had problems with stomach disturbances during the night, especially after about 4:00am. When that happens, I take a Peppermint Capsule and get relief within 15 - 30 minutes, which allows me to get back to sleep. The relief lasts for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours, or longer. I sometimes need another capsule before it's time to get up. Bottom line is they work well and I've had no unpleasant side effects. My recent order was for the bulk package of 6 bottles because I'm using more of them and the pricing is better. | |

| Thanks for the incredibly swift delivery. I have been having uncomfortable symptoms for almost 2 years that were affecting my active life style and energy levels for work and play. I am having a great deal of success with the peppermint caps to ease abdominal bloating, gas, and pain. It is almost too good to be true. The fibre is helping also...I had tried Metamucil a year or so ago and it exacerbated my symptoms...so it has come as a relief to find something that is providing relief from constant diarrhea. I have also been using a probiotic that I did not purchase from "Help for IBS" and I believe that is helping as well. I have been trying some of the recipes in Heather's book. Some I like, some I don't, but what I really like is that I can take the ingredients in any recipe and use them however I like, knowing they are all "safe" foods for IBS...or at least so far they are my safe foods as well. | Thirteen months ago, I was in the hospital in Chelsea, MI for 11 days. I had taken my Acacia Fiber with me, which was confiscated, and then doled out to me twice a day by the nursing staff. Upon hearing it was to help control IBS, a few of the nurses became quite interested, as THEY suffer from IBS. I found myself to be quite the IBS guru. Being employed in the medical profession, of course they were taking prescription drugs to treat their IBS. I lent First Year IBS to two of them for a day. | I think the Acacia Fiber is wonderful but I'm concerned that Heather's focus on soluble vs non-soluble fiber does not consider the thousands of people now allergic to genetically modified food, especially wheat/grains. I have suffered with IBS for years and now find that taking grains out of my diet is healing my gut. Please pass this on to Heather. | |||||
