I bought these for my son who has a severe case of IBS. Tried for the first time and he loves the fennel tea. He mixes with a little bit of honey. This calms his bowels and really helps eliminate the gas. Thank you for a great natural product.

Pleasantly surprised!
When I brewed my first cup I thought I would not be able to drink the tea, so I put the package aside for a week. The pain was such that I decided to give it a another try. I must have brewed it incorrectly because it tasted great and I could feel the gas and bloating getting better after my first cup! Thank you!!

The best ever!!!

The service was great. My only complaint is that I truly hate the taste of the fennel tea. I don't know what I'm going to do with the whole container now. I was disappointed with the taste of the product.

People tend to either love or hate the taste of fennel. It's possible to hide the taste of the fennel by brewing it with other herbal teas, such as peppermint, or adding a little sweetener like honey.

Thank you so much for your feedback! Sometimes for gas and bloating it really helps to "overwhelm" your gut with the Fennel Tummy Tea at first. Because it aids in gas expulsion, for the first few days it can seem as if you have more gas because your body is simply eliminating more of it. This will settle down quickly.

I tell people to try and drink the fennel tea all day long, as much as you can, until you are just sick of it. Do this just for the first 2-3 days or so, and then you can drop back to a reasonable amount and keep the gas and bloating under control. Hope this helps a bit!

I am so sorry you did not find the speed of delivery satisfactory. Normally orders to foreign countries take 3-7 business days. Sometimes, however, foreign orders are held up at Customs. It is very frustrating for us as well because it seems to be totally random as to whether Customs will hold an order and for how long. We have customers that order from us regularly for years without any complications and then out of the blue one of their packages will be detained for weeks on end.

Best for bloating

not crazy about taste, not sureif it's helping

I've been drinking the fennel tea every day since receiving it a couple of weeks ago. I put peppermint tea in also, it helps with the taste. have not noticed a significant decrease in gas and bloating, still an issue. Will continue to use it ad hope for the best. I bought a boatload on sale and don't want to waste it.

I'm glad you've been able to enjoy the fennel tea by combining it with the peppermint! We suggest mixing teas or adding a little natural sweetener, like honey.

The fennel works best when you "overload" your system in the beginning. That means drinking multiple cups of tea a day until your symptoms are relieved.

We do have a full-refund return policy, so you can return your fennel tea at any time if it still does not work for you.

I love the packaging, quality of product and service.
The packaging really keeps the product fresh and it looks nice in the cabinets. Most of all I love the way it controls gas and bloating. I tend to have difficulty starting after lunch. If I drink a cup of fennel after lunch, my digestive tract is calm and quiet and I feel great. I just love it. I tend to use a cup of peppermint between breakfast and lunch and a cup of fennel between lunch and dinner. Works great!

so good for preventing bloating, or over-full feeling, or just to soothe stomach... and prevent gas! (better than beeno!) Have given samples to sooo many friends. I have IBS amongst many other ills, and I am gassy. I cannot hold it in. Once in PE class I was passing gas with every sit up. Walking to the bathroom at work I would pass noisy, foul smelling gas all the way there. Trying to hold it in made the pain worse and hastened the BM. Fennel tea does actually decrease my gas a huge amount.

You can brew it with another herbal tea such as peppermint or chamomile to disguise the flavor (peppermint in particular completely kills the fennel taste).

Using honey as a sweetener really makes it taste better as well. And some folks simply brew it very strong, let it cool, and drink it quickly as they would a medicine.

If you still just hate it so much you can't even drink it, please feel feel to return it for a full refund.

It really does work well for gas and bloating though so many people just get creative about how to take it. You can brew it with another herbal tea such as peppermint or chamomile to disguise the flavor (peppermint in particular completely kills the fennel taste).

Using honey as a sweetener really makes it taste better as well. And some folks simply brew it very strong, let it cool, and drink it quickly as they would a medicine.

If you still just hate it so much you can't even drink it, please feel feel to return it for a full refund.

The healing capacity of ths tea is immediate, and for me certain.
This product is wonderful. When I develop acid reflux after I eat, I prepare the tea as quickly as possible. As soon as I sip the warm, soothing liquid my body relaxes, perhaps because the healing is immediate, perhaps because I know comfort is on its way. It works 98% of the time! How pleasurable it is to take a "medicine" this effective, this pleasant, and this wholesome. I have tried one other brand of fennel tea which is neither as flavorful or effective.

Hi Loretta - Thank you so much for your feedback. The fennel tea should not worsen GERD. If anything, it may help it a bit, though it is really best for bloating and gas.

I'd try either the fennel tea or the homeopathic tabs one at a time, so you will know which one is affecting you.

To try the tea again, drink as much as possible the first few days to really get on top of bloating and gas, Then you can drop down to a few cups a day and keep symptoms at bay.

If bloating/gas are not your main concerns let me know, as there may be other options that are a better fit for you than the fennel.

Hi Donna,
I'm sorry to hear that the fennel tea isn't working well for your symptoms. It does help at first to almost "overwhelm" your gut with the tea to really kick out the bloating and gas. Drink the tea constantly, all day long, the first several days until till you're just sick of it - that really does help get on top of the gas and bloating.

You can also try the peppermint oil capsules to help prevent the bloating and gas. Take these before a meal (ALWAYS on an empty stomach) as a preventative measure.

If you do decide that you don't like the fennel tea, you can certainly return it to us for a refund, even if it's been opened. There is no time limit for returns.

Please include your name, address, phone number, and invoice number if you have it, for a refund.

I must be allergic to this product.

The first cup gave me immediate severe stomach cramping. The second cup taken with a full meal gave me a full blown headache upon consumption. Customer service offered to let me return for a refund but the cost of postage was more than the cost of the tea.

Hello Humberto,

I am so sorry you did not find the speed of delivery satisfactory. Normally orders to foreign countries take 3-7 business days. Sometimes, however, foreign orders are held up at Customs. It is very frustrating for us as well because it seems to be totally random as to whether Customs will hold an order and for how long. We have customers that order from us regularly for years without any complications and then out of the blue one of their packages will be detained for weeks on end.

It has been our experience that Customs can hold packages for 6-8 weeks sometimes. This doesn't happen to all packages, but occasionally especially with larger orders, it can happen. A delay like this is especially likely to happen when there are Customs fees due upon delivery. Sometimes orders will be held at the local post office, awaiting customer pick-up and payment of the Customs fees. This has actually happened in the past without the post office ever notifying the customer that their package was being held. So, you could check and see if your local post office does have the order for you. If things are held up in Customs, we just have to wait until they're finally processed through. All of their contact will be with you, so we never even know if Customs is holding a package until the customer passes this info along to us.

I regularly have one cup as my day begins and one more throughout the day. Typically, just before I start my period, I have a lot of bloating, and just tons of discomfort. This tea seemed to have prevented all of that discomfort. True test will be next month. If I'm drinking this tea, and I'm not suffering with the severe bloat, and discomfort during PMS, I will then know for sure this tea is the reason why. I love the taste. I add one packet of splenda to my cup of tea, and it's yummy!

Before finding Heather's website, "hopeless" would be an accurate way to describe my life with IBS. Feeling trapped in a body that could give me such unbearable pain and a mind that seemed to betray me. The safest place for me was in my own home, near my own bathroom. There was no need then to fear and of course, I then felt at my best. But as soon as I had to leave for either work or shopping or anything else, my stomach would clench and send me running. Shopping became completely unenjoyable and my mind was always on where the nearest bathroom was. Eating out was something we rarely did because...well you know. What if??? I've suffered this way ever since the birth of our youngest child, 14 years ago. There have been times where its been worse and times when it seemed like it was gone. However, the last many years it's been very present and exceptionally painful; to the point of feeling faint from it. So terrifying, I can't even explain it. But for the first time, after reading the testimonials, I realized I'm not alone!!! This alone has helped to bring a type of relief. The diet change has been huge, the fiber amazing, and both the peppermint and fennel teas are something I enjoy immensely throughout the day! The peppermint capsules, unfortunately I seem unable to take as they cause heartburn no matter how or when I take them. That's ok though, the other products along with the diet have been doing the trick! As far as my mind stress goes, I truly believe that as more time goes without an attack (there has only been one in well over a month!!) the more my mind will relax and not get worked up when it's time to head out the door. I'm so excited it's hard to explain! I'm glad that you have eliminated the trigger foods.
The fennel tea specifically targets bloating and gas associated with IBS, but won't do much for other IBS symptoms.
I'm not sure which specific "IBS problems" you're experiencing, but I would definitely recommend a good soluble fiber supplement like our Acacia Senegal Tummy Fiber. This will help with ALL symptoms of IBS. Including diarrhea and constipation.
You could also try peppermint tea for pain or urgency, or the peppermint oil capsules for preventing pain, cramping, bloating, gas, and urgency.

Complex feedback on Fennel Tea Order

Speed of delivery even faster than needed. The fennel tea also delivers gut relief to me quickly, and this speed I welcome. Nothing else I do for relief acts as quickly. I have long felt that the postage fees are much too large a cost. They often represent a 1/3 increase in costs for purchases. With this order I took more initiative and talked to customer service. I found out that postage depends on the number of items ordered. However, after 3 items there are no increases in postage charges. This information needs to be given to your customers so that they can plan their puchases accordingly.

We have actually added text about that to our website check out pages in bold red, so hopefully more people will see it. You are right, postage fees have increased extraordinarily in the past few years, and it is a source of tremendous frustration for us.

One of the ways we've tried to work around this is to have postage max out at three items, so after that there is no additional postage cost. But you let us know that we needed to do a better job at letting our customers know about this. So hopefully thanks to you this information is now more visible!

Caused me more pain

This tea caused me more pain and discomfort. It bloated me up really badly. Sadly I bought three cans of this stuff. Every time I drink it I get painful bloating and gas that lasts all night.

Really felt a difference
I'm one of those customers that is guilty of NEVER reviewing products. However, I really felt like this tea deserve some major compliments. I started feeling weird in my tummy since last summer and I went to the doctor many times but he never took my stomach troubles seriously. I got very discouraged and depressed because I always ate really healthy and couldn't figure out why I was constipated and bloated ALL THE TIME. I was really fit and worked out all the time but since I developed this (I was never diagnosed but I'm sure it's IBS) I lost all interest in anything. Then I try couple things and finally I found Heather's website. I have the peppermint oil, fennel tummy tea, the book and I can't thank Heather enough for finally helping me gaining control of my symptoms.

It's best to almost "overwhelm" your system with the tea to really kick out the bloating and gas. Drink the tea till you're sick of it!

You can also try the peppermint oil capsules to help prevent the bloating and gas. Take these before a meal (ALWAYS on an empty stomach) as a preventative measure.

Made me much worse!

I've tried this product in the past and believed that it caused diarrhea. But, thinking it was a fluke, I ordered it again to help with bloating and gas. I drank 2 cups in 2 days and had a bout of severe diarrhea with horrible gas following it. I will not be using this tea anymore - it is not safe for me!

So far so good!
I have been drinking 1 cup of hot Fennel tea daily along with 1 Peppermint capsule every morning and Acacia fiber 3 times a day. I had to get used to the Fennel tea's taste but it grew on me. And, I would drink muddy water if it helped my IBS-C...and after using the products for 2 months now, this regime has worked so far! I am so excited about it!

Fennel tea bags
I have been using Heather's tummy teas for years. I generally use the loose tea but I can toss these into my purse and grab a cup of hot water anywhere and have tea. I love to mix the fennel tea with chamomile tea and chunks of fresh ginger.

Hi Kate - The Fennel tea does have a mild black licorice taste to it. If you're not too keen on the taste, try adding some sugar or honey to sweeten it a bit. Or, you can brew it with the Peppermint Tummy Tea, which will completely mask the taste of the fennel but still give you the benefits.

It really helps at first to drink as many cups of the fennel tea per day for the first few days as you can possibly manage. That will "overwhelm" your gut with fennel and help you get on top of the bloating and gas. Then you can drop down to a reasonable amount of a cup or two per day and keep bloating and gas in check.

If you do decide you don't want the fennel tea, you can certainly return it to us at any time for a full refund.

Unusual Flavor, but does the job
I don't care for the taste of fennel as much as peppermint, but it really does work. When I have a flare up, I might go through 6 bags or so before I can stop, but it sure works.

The tea is fragrant and easy to make.
Heather's Fennel Tea is surprisingly tasty and very easy on the stomach. I wasn't sure what to expect when drinking but there his a big difference when I take time to stop and drink a cup of her Fennel Tea. It's warm and aromatic. Very soothing!

GREAT PRODUCT
It definitely helps with the gas & bloating. If I have an attack of gas (and it has been severe)or even discomfort in my digestive system I'll take 2 teabags and drink them consistantly through-out the day and the discomfort or gas will ease up considerably. The key seems to be drinking it consistantly and not getting discouraged.

Excellent service, and the best acacia fiber that we have found.
